Friends....
As I move along in my life, the one thing I am truly blessed to have are alot of friends. You always will have your family and they love you unconditionally. Most people have their significant others in their lives. Some have pets as well. All through my life in many different aspects Ive been able to make some really great friends.. I think the idea of a "best friend" is getting to be an outdatted concept. In many cases, your significant other ends up being your "best friend". I think its very important to have alot of "best " friends... One of the things I am most proud is that I have held onto people that I care about and I call friends no matter where they may have gone or even if I no longer see them as I used to. Today I was lucky enough to have dinner with someone who I havent really talked to for a long time. I knew her from high school. Thanks to the social media I found that we were actually neighbors. She lives a block away from me and has for years. I didnt even know it. It was great to catch up and talk about the old days. Great friends old and new are what keeps life interesting. Chapters that you thought may have closed long ago are still open. Friends are awesome and I am very glad for mine past and present!

I completely agree, Joe, that we should continue to cherish and cultivate friendships, both old and new. Life is best enjoyed in the company of others, and loved ones and friends are the parts that make it wonderful. (And that includes making new friendships with "old" acquaintances, like yourself!)
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely... thats what its all about!! I couldnt agree more!!!
ReplyDeleteI also agree that friends, old and new, are very important. I recently contacted a girl I used to like. She was a girl who liked me back, but I messed that up. I wish she lived a block away, but alas, she does not. Well, it turns out she decided to go to college at Birmingham City University Business School in England where she studies international finance. After contacting her, via email, I made my final decision to study abroad in England this summer. She does not have summer classes, so she will meet up with me to "catch up" on old times. This gives me hope for my future. Remember, hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things, and no good thing ever dies. I guess it comes down to one thing: get busy living, or get busy dying.
ReplyDeleteYou crack me up ... lol... im glad you got the opportunity to go to England... Should be a great time... Thanks for the post
